Financial help is being made available for Oakland City University students looking to continue classes at Vincennes University.
A nonprofit group tied to Knox County Indiana Economic Development has established scholarship funding for students affected after Oakland City University announced it would pause undergraduate programs for the 2026 to 2027 academic year.
The Knox Life Community Improvement Team gift will fund a limited number of scholarships worth between $500 and $1000 for qualifying students transferring to Vincennes University.
The university has also extended the deadline for its $1500 housing scholarship to July first for current and incoming Oakland City University students. Students from Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio may also qualify for in-state tuition rates.
Students interested in transferring can apply at vinu.edu/apply.
