The Wednesday Night Vincennes Historic Farmers Market opens at 4 p.m. today at the Riverfront Pavilion at Second and Busseron Streets.
Organizers say shoppers will find fresh local produce from several vendors, along with baked goods and barbecue. This season, Bobe’s Barbecue and Pebbles 81 BBQ are scheduled to alternate Wednesday appearances.
The market will also feature food vendors offering items including pulled pork, ribs, seasoned turkey legs, and desserts.
Bill Brower provides the music on the Blazer 91.1 WVUB music stage.
The Wednesday market runs until 7:30 tonight at the Riverfront Pavilion.
Meanwhile, coming up at the Saturday Farmers Market, Kevin Watson and Allyson Bowers of Blazer 91.1 WVUB and WVUT-TV will broadcast live from 9 to 11 a.m. Visitors can register to win Holiday World tickets and other prizes.
At 10:30, Bowers will lead a STEM activity where children can make self-inflating balloons and learn how they work. The Red Hill Dulcimer Group will perform at 11 a.m on the Blazer 91.1 WVUB Music Stage. The Saturday market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Riverfront Pavilion.
