The Vincennes Community School Corporation said Tuesday night that phone and internet service has been restored after a precautionary shutdown in the morning tied to a ransomware incident involving its technology provider.

School officials say the attack affected one of AME’s customers, not VCSC. The district temporarily shut down its servers as a precaution while the provider addressed the issue.

During the outage, online registration through PowerSchool was unavailable.

VCSC says families who still need help registering can now call or visit their child’s school, where staff are available to assist
