A 24-year-old Princeton man was seriously injured Thursday night after a motorcycle crash in Gibson County while fleeing from an attempted traffic stop.
According to Indiana State Police, Trooper Marsee was patrolling U.S. 41 near the 39 mile marker at approximately 10:11 p.m. when he observed a motorcycle traveling south at 135 miles per hour. The trooper attempted to initiate a stop, but the motorcyclist continued south at a high rate of speed.
Police say the rider later turned onto County Road 175 West, lost control of the motorcycle, and crashed.
The motorcyclist was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville with serious injuries.
His name has not been released pending the filing of charges.
