JD Strange is our guest. He informs us of the Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day to be held on Saturday August 15th at the Indiana Military Museum. The gates will open at 9:00 a.m. the event begins at 10:00 a.m. All outdoor activities are free to attend.
There will be a meet and greet Indiana’s very own Medal of Honor Recipient Sergeant Sammy L. Davis. For a fee, you can experience flight in a Huey helicopter (for a fee).
There will be living history exhibits, a battle scenario, artifact vendors, re-enactor demonstrations, and free lunch for all Vietnam, Korea, and WWII Veterans.
There will also be a battle scenario for the public’s viewing and this includes Huey battlefield extractions.
