The Wabash River is under a flood warning today through February 9th.

The National Weather Service (NWS) reports lowland flooding all along the river from Lafayette to Riverton, and has arrived in Vincennes.

The crest was near Clinton early this morning.

Flooding is expected to continue along the lower Wabash at Riverton and Vincennes well into next week.

The forecast says the Wabash will crest at the Lincoln Memorial Bridge early February 6th at nearly 18.5 feet which is 2.5 feet above flood stage.

Meanwhile the White River at Edwardsport, Petersburg and Hazelton also remains under a flood warning.

Minor river flooding is developing on lower parts of the White River today and will end late this week and weekend.

The White at Edwardsport is expected to crest at just above the 15 foot flood station overnight tonight.
