What many believe is a great need for Vincennes and Knox County comes to fruition on Wednesday.

The basement of the Old Town Players on Broadway Street has been restored into a gathering place for teenagers and the ribbon cutting is tomorrow at 11-am.

The project was part of the HELP initiative which stands for Hoosier Enduring Legacy Program.

Vincennes was one of only 9 communities in Indiana awarded funding through program meant to better communities.

HELP Community Coordinator Jamie Dugan for the city of Vincennes says tomorrow’s opening will involved teens…

The opening will be tiered for the next few weeks.

The center is open 3 to 6 on February 14th to Lincoln students, on February 21st the center will be open to South Knox and Rivet students and then to North Knox students on February 28th.

Buses will be available at the schools to transport kids to the center.
