Time is running out to submit an eclipse themed mural.

Back in January the Vincennes City Council announced a national call for artist submissions a mural that will be located on the side of the City Hall.

As everyone should know by now, Vincennes and Knox County are in the centerline of totality during the total solar eclipse on April 8. The mural is meant to  commemorate the event and encourage future eclipse tourism.

The mural will be printed and installed by a local printing company and will hang for approximately 1 to 2 years.

All artists’ submissions must be entered by March 8th.

Then a panel of jurors will decide within a week on a winner who will be notified by emal on March 15th.

The winner will receive a $2500 honorarium.
