Good Samaritan has announced they’ve taken steps to be ready for crowds who are here for Monday’s total solar eclipse.

The healthcare systems reports they remain committed to providing excellent health care services to the community.

The convenient care facility on Willow Street in Vincennes will have additional staffing on Monday to help with those with non-emergent health care needs including minor illnesses and injuries. They will take walk-ins from 10 to 5:30 on Monday.

The hospital reports that their ER will be ready to treat patients with urgent or life threatening needs.

Five ambulances will be stationed throughout the county.

In Bicknell, EMS will have a first aid station set up in the former radiology suite at 510 West 11th  Street for those who have minor injuries or illness.

EMS will also have its Mobile Wellness Unit available for first aid, however, the location of the bus will be determined based on the activity level in the community.  It will be staged where the most people are gathered.
