After over a year of planning for these days leading up to Monday’s total solar eclipse organizers, law enforcement and public safety and health officials say they are prepared as they can be.

There is a plethora of public and private activities and events happening throughout the weekend.

Some of them today include the Hidden Sun Event at 4-pm at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center in Vincennes where visitors can celebrate the eclipse through NASA imagery, poetry and music.

It’s the first Friday of the month which means the regular downtown First Friday Art Walk events are happening with eclipse themes including of course art as well as live music.

There are fish frys, beer gardens, fundraisers, vendor fairs and more all over the area now through Monday.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday is the Dark Side Bash at Patrick Henry Square downtown Vincennes with lots to see and do and live music.
