Rivers remain on the rise

The flood warnings continue for area rivers.

The Wabash at Vincennes was measured at 17.53 at 12:45 pm today.

Currently it is forecast to start falling and be at 17.8 by Thursday and then be blow the 16 foot flood stage in about 7 days.

That could change as there is more rain in the forecast this week.

At Mount Carmel, the Wabash is rising and as of Noon today was at 21.9 feet and is forecast to crest at 22.5 by Monday next week.

The White at Edwardsport is at 21.5 feet which is 6.5 feet above flood stage.  Forecasters say it will begin to fall tomorrow.

At Petersburg, the White River is at 19.83.  Flood stage is 16 feet.  It is predicted to crest at 21.9 feet by Saturday.
