After over 30 years of serving in public office, a current Knox County Councilman says he’s retiring.
David Culp is currently an At-Large member of the Knox County Council and says he won’t seek re-election this year.
He first took office at the age of 29 as a Vincennes City Council At-Large member and served for a dozen years.
In 2001 he became a County Councilman at large for 13 non -consecutive years.
He served as Vincennes City Clerk/Treasurer for four years from 2012 to 2016.
Following that he was elected again to the County Council.
In his news release he says he has reached a point of burn out adding that it has been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens.
