The Vincennes University Board of Trustees have chosen who will build their new health education center.

Bids were accepted this week totaling over $21.8 million.

The general construction contract went to Empire Construction of Evansville with the low bid of nearly $13,300,000.

Back in December the architects’ renderings and plans were announced for the new building which will house  the Center for Active Learning, Nursing programs, Surgical Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Pharmacy Technology, and Funeral Service Education.

It will be located on the site of the former Harrison Hall.

The plan is for the new building to open in the Fall of 2025.
