The local Black experience was showcased and celebrated on Thursday.

Many people attended a program called Harvest of Black History centered on Black life in the 20th century held at the Vincennes University Shircliff Gallery of Art which co-sponsored the event along with the Knox County Black History Preservation Project, Knox County Public Library and VU Legacy Club Black Student Union.

VU Associate English Professor Tyson Sims is an Advisor with the Legacy Club….

February is Black History month and more on the preservation project will be highlighted in this weekend’s episode of First City Focus at 7:30 pm on Vincennes PBS.
