Restoration of the Gregg Park pickleball court is officially underway.

Pickleball enthusiasts, city officials and corporate sponsors gathered today to celebrate an activity that has been, and remains the fastest growing sport in America.

Through a partnership with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, the Vincennes Pickleball Club was able to raise over $100,200 in a Patronicity grant and then receive another fifty-thousand dollars in matching funds.

Vice President of the club, Regina Blinn says the work will include a new surface, new nets, new fencing….

Vincennes University has also donated bleachers as part of the project.

The work will be complete in about six weeks.

After that, Blinn says there will be a variety of opportunities to play…
