You have one week left to register if you want to vote in this year’s primary election.

You’re eligible to vote in the primary if you’re a U-S citizen, have lived in the precinct where you’ll vote for at least 30 days before the election, if you’re not currently in prison and if you’ll be 18 years old by this fall’s general election.

To register online at Indiana-Voters-dot-com, you’ll need an Indiana driver’s license or state I-D card.

If registering by mail, theform you fill out asks for that information as well, or the last four digits of your Social Security number.

You can also provide proof of residence via a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or government document that shows your name and address.

If you’ve already registered, you can use that site to check your registration, see who’s on your ballot and find out where you can vote.

Because of the April 8th eclipse, in Knox County you have an extra half day to to register to vote in person at the courthouse.

In person registration at the courthouse continues 8 to noon on Tuesday April 9th.
