A Knox County man was sentenced Wednesday for Child Molesting.
Last month a jury of 7 men and 5 women deliberated for 35 minutes before convicting 34 year old James J. Harroll of Sandborn.
He was convicted for Level 1 and a Level 4 counts of Child Molesting for acts committed in 2022 involving a 9 year old victim.
Special Judge Brian Johnson sentenced Harroll to 37 years in prison.
Knox County Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan commented that his office will continue to try these types of cases and fight for a sentence that reflects the harm done to a child.
