Good Samaritan is hosting a Drug Take Back Day today from 2 to 5 p.m.
The event gives the public a chance to safely dispose of expired or unwanted medications. Pharmacy staff will be collecting items at the hospital’s Sixth Street entrance under the awning.
Accepted items include prescription pills, patches, pet meds, vitamins, and over-the-counter medicine. Items not accepted include needles, inhalers, aerosols, lotions, liquids, and thermometers.
Sixth Street between Vigo and Willow is closed today.
Visitors should adhere to posted detours.
