The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is asking Hoosiers to help identify environmental regulations that may be overly burdensome or ineffective.

This effort follows Governor Braun’s Executive Order 25-38, which limits new environmental rules to federal standards unless state law or the Governor’s Office requires otherwise.

Public comments must be submitted by June 30, 2025, to efficiency@idem.IN.gov.  IDEM encourages specific feedback, including cost data and code references. All input will be reviewed as IDEM prepares a report for the Governor and Legislative Council by December 31.
