Reward Offered in Arson Investigation

A fire last week in Vincennes was determined as arson, and state investigators are asking the public for help in solving the crime.

In a press release, the Indiana Department of Homeland Security said the fire on June 12th was responded to by the Vincennes Police and Fire Departments. It was determined that someone threw a firework into the home on the 400 block of South 15th intentionally setting the blaze.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward. Tips can be reported anonymously by calling the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
