A vacancy now exists on the Decker Town Board following the passing of Tom Culp.
Republicans interested in filling the remainder of the term—through December 31, 2027—are invited to submit a letter of interest. To qualify, applicants must be registered Republicans in good standing and have been registered to vote in Decker for at least one year.
Letters should be emailed to Knox County Republican Chairman David Shelton at dshelton.knox.gop@gmail.com. The deadline to apply is Thursday, July 17, 2025, by 5 p.m.
This is a direct appointment by the county chairman, and the appointment will be made Sunday, July 20 at 5 p.m.
