The Knox County Health Department says their Thursday blood drive with Versiti Blood Center was a success. All appointment slots were filled, and while there were a few no-shows, 16 donors gave blood, resulting in 17 units collected.

For those who couldn’t give at that drive, another opportunity is coming up Monday, June 30. Vincennes University will host a mobile blood drive with Versiti from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the PE Complex parking lot on the ICAT side.

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted as space allows. All donors will receive a $25 electronic gift card. To schedule a time to donate, visit Versiti’s website.

Versiti is the primary supplier of blood to Good Samaritan Hospital and other local healthcare facilities, helping ensure that lifesaving blood products are available when needed.
