A Vincennes University graduate is the newest resource officer on the Vincennes Community Schools Police Department. David LaCour was sworn in Thursday morning.
According to the school corporation’s website, LaCour is a 2018 VU graduate and completed training at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2021. He previously served with the Vincennes University Police Department and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
LaCour will be primarily assigned to Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary. He says he’s excited to continue serving the community and helping others through his new role with the VCSC Police Department.
