Vincennes city leaders and the Pantheon are moving forward with plans for an independent audit of the innovation center and co-working space’s finances.
City Council President Brian Grove, speaking on behalf of both the council and the Pantheon Board, told the Vincennes Board of Public Works Monday night that the request was prompted by recent changes.
“With the changeover of the treasurer at the beginning of the year and an interest in reconciling some accounts, we’ve asked for an independent audit of the Pantheon’s finances,” Grove said. “This agreement allows us to use Ready Financial Services, which already serves as a financial advisor for the city, to conduct the audit in partnership with the county and the Pantheon.”
The cost of the audit will be shared by the City of Vincennes, Knox County, and the Pantheon. The Board of Public Works approved the agreement, which still needs action from county officials.
