The fall festival season is here, and a four-day event in southern Knox County is getting underway today.
The Blue Jeans Community Center Fall Festival in Monroe City opens this afternoon with food trucks from 5 to 8, bounce houses from 5 until dusk, and a pageant tonight at 6:30 in the gymnasium.
The festival continues Friday with food booths, an alumni dinner, kids’ games, and evening music from Maria and Luke Coatney. Saturday brings a craft show, BBQ, a cruise-in, kids’ inflatables, tacos, a school reunion, and fireworks after dark. Events wrap up Sunday with a church service, fried chicken dinner, inflatables, and the big parade at 2 o’clock.
