A person found dead in a mobile home fire in Gibson County Monday has been identified.
An autopsy has been scheduled for 65-year-old Kristela D. Prunty.
She was discovered by firefighters who responded to the blaze around 5 p.m. in Patoka, just two blocks from the White River Fire Territory station. Crews arrived to find heavy flames coming from the front of the home and porch area.
Seventeen firefighters from the Patoka and Hazleton stations worked to bring the fire under control.
The cause remains under investigation by state and local authorities.
