Old Town Players in Vincennes are moving forward with major improvements to their facility, according to their November newsletter .  Work begins this week to replace the roof and resurface the veranda, creating an updated outdoor space for patrons. Crews will also repaint the auditorium ceiling and walls, repair soffits, and complete exterior painting. The work will be done by local contractors to help keep funds circulating in the community.

The project is funded through $82,253 raised in a spring capital campaign, along with an additional $50,000 awarded through the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s CreatINg Places grant program.

Old Town Players recently wrapped up their fall production of Misery and lent support to the Knox County IN CEO program, performing a “Death by Chocolate” mystery show during a student fundraiser that also featured dinner and desserts from local vendors.

Upcoming events include an online auction November 17–19 and the holiday production The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, opening December 5.
