
Area law enforcement are offering condolences and support concerning the loss of a Delaware County, Indiana Sheriff’s Deputy.
Corporal Blake Reynolds was killed early Wednesday morning while helping a stranded motorist on Interstate 69 near the 247-mile marker. Reynolds was outside his patrol vehicle assisting a broken-down semi when he was struck by a northbound semi-truck.
Reynolds joined the department in 2022 and quickly earned promotion to Corporal. He also served in the Army Reserve out of Camp Atterbury.The Sheriff’s Office says he was known for his dedication to duty, compassion for others, and commitment to serving Delaware County.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says their thoughts and prayers are with the Reynold’s family and the Sheriff’s Department in Muncie.
