Indiana Winter Weather Preparedness Week 2025 continues through Saturday.
Throughout the week, the National Weather Service has shared reminders about winter’s hazards and tips to help Hoosiers stay safe before severe weather strikes. Daily topics have included how to understand winter weather alerts, staying safe indoors, driving precautions, and preparing emergency kits for home and travel.
Partner agencies such as the Indiana Department of Transportation, Homeland Security, and the American Red Cross have also joined the campaign—urging residents to plan ahead, dress appropriately for cold conditions, and give snowplows plenty of space on the roads.
Officials say Winter Weather Preparedness Week is a yearly reminder that being ready before storms hit can make all the difference when winter weather returns.
