Twenty new Indiana State Police troopers from the 87th Recruit Academy received their new patrol vehicles last Wednesday.  The ceremony also served as the unveiling for a new look for all ISP patrol vehicles moving forward.  The 20 probationary troopers received the very first of these new-look Durangos.  The new design is described as “white over blue” and a “salute to our past.”  In a statement, Governor Mike Braun said the new vehicles are a fitting way to mark the next chapter for the ISP, “honoring our history while equipping the Indiana State Police for the future.”  The ISP also announced that five seasoned troopers will each be assigned a 2024 Mustang GT, which will also feature the new white-over-blue design.  This marks the return of the Mustang GT to the State’s fleet after an absence of several years.
