
Friday night’s Parade of Lights in Vincennes brought families into downtown on a chilly evening as floats and decorated vehicles moved down Main Street under this year’s theme, Merry and Bright.
Vincennes PBS and the Knox County Public Library’s Community Learning Kitchen participated riding in a Vincennes Trolley along with special guests, Cookie Monster, Daniel Tiger and Mr. Rogers. For the 3rd year in a road PBS, the Learning Kitchen and Knox County LAM handed out 600 potatoes and oranges to spectators.
Meanwhile the Christkindlmarkt began Friday and continued Saturday where visitors shopped and enjoyed the holiday atmosphere.
Special holiday themed activities also took place at Grouseland and the Vincennes State Historic Sites.
Also the Blue Jeans Center in Monroe City hosted breakfast with Santa on Saturday with games and visits and photos with Santa Clause.
