Indiana is directing $100 million to communities statewide through the latest round of INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program. Governor Mike Braun and transportation leaders officially announced the awards Tuesday in Delphi, IN saying the investments strengthen local roads, support business growth, and improve quality of life.
Knox County and the City of Vincennes did not receive funding this cycle. But as previously reported, Bicknell was awarded nearly $960,000, and Oaktown received more than $75,000.
Several neighboring communities saw significant awards: Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Linton, Loogootee, and Sullivan counties each received $1 million. Martin County was granted about $700,000, Princeton roughly $800,000, Bloomfield about $350,000, Huntingburg just under $300,000, and Pike County around $140,000.
INDOT says Community Crossings has delivered more than $2 billion to local road projects since 2016.
