The National Weather Service says light accumulating snow is expected across parts of the region later today and into Friday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect Thursday afternoon through Friday morning.
Forecasters say 1 to 2 and possibly 3 inches of snow could occur and drivers should plan for slippery roads later today and tonight and again into tomorrow morning.
Both the Indianapolis and Paducah Weather Service offices issued the advisory, noting that even minor accumulations could create hazardous travel conditions.
Officials urge drivers to slow down and use caution. Road condition updates are available by calling 5-1-1 in Indiana.
