Good Samaritan Hospital is reminding patients and visitors of its visitor guidelines as flu and other respiratory illnesses increase in the area.
Hospital officials say patients coming in for outpatient services who have flu-like or respiratory symptoms are being asked to wear a mask while inside hospital buildings, physician offices, and outpatient clinics. Masks are available at main entrances.
Existing visitor rules remain in place. People who are sick are asked not to visit, visitors must be at least 16 years old, and inpatient units are limited to two visitors at a time during visiting hours.
The hospital says it will continue monitoring illness trends and provide updates as needed.
