A Vincennes PBS–produced series that documents regional history is spotlighting a longtime community landmark in Washington.

The latest episode of History Vault focuses on the Indiana Theatre and the role it has played in the city over the years.

Producers say interest in the theater has grown recently, especially as new owners have expanded how the space is used, bringing in live events in addition to movies. That renewed attention helped shape the direction of the episode.

The documentary will premiere Wednesday night, January 21, at 7:30 at the Indiana Theatre on East Main Street.

Following the screening, author Stephan Foust will take part in a discussion. His book reflects on his childhood growing up across the street from the theater.

The event is open to the public, free to attend, and does not require registration.
