Several area fire departments responded to a reported house fire Sunday afternoon in the Ragsdale area.
The Washington Township Fire Department led the response, with mutual aid provided by the Vigo Township Fire Department. Additional assistance came from the Bicknell, Edwardsport, Freelandville, and Oaktown fire departments. Good Sam EMS and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department also responded.
Vigo Township officials said they were dispatched to assist Washington Township crews at the scene.
Firefighters remained on site for approximately three hours. No further details about the fire or any injuries were released.
