Today (Wednesday) is 211 Day.
It’s a statewide effort to remind Hoosiers about Indiana 211, a free service that connects people to health and human services in their community.
By dialing 2-1-1 or searching online, residents can get help finding resources like food assistance, housing support, mental health services, utility help, and other basic needs.
The service is available 24 hours a day and is designed to be a single point of contact when people don’t know where to turn.
State leaders say 211 helps cut through confusion by directing callers to local programs that can help right away.
On 211 Day, community organizations are encouraging residents to remember that help is available with one call or one click.
