George Rogers Clark National Historic Park will mark Clark’s March on Saturday with a guided walk retracing the final five miles of the route into Vincennes.
Participants are asked to check in at the park’s Visitor Center by 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time. A bus will leave at 9:45 to take walkers to the starting point.
Organizers say the walk will include discussion of events connected to the historic march along the route.
Advance registration is required by 5 p.m. Friday to reserve a seat on the bus. That can be done by calling the park at 812-882-1776, extension 1210.
Some participants are expected to wear clothing representing the 18th Century Virginia militia, although it is not required.
Further information is available from Chief Ranger Joe Herron at the park.
