Students and community members will have multiple opportunities to connect and explore careers today at Lincoln High School.
The Vincennes Community School Corporation is hosting its fourth annual career fair at Alice Arena. About 1,500 students are expected to attend, with participation from Lincoln High School, Clark Middle School, and invited students from North Knox, South Knox, and Rivet high schools.
A total of 140 businesses are taking part, offering information on internships, apprenticeships, work-based learning, and employment opportunities. Students are scheduled to attend throughout the day from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Later this afternoon, Lincoln High School will also open its new Culinary Arts Kitchen to the public.
A ribbon cutting and open house is scheduled from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., giving community members a chance to tour the new space and see how it will be used for hands-on student learning.
Both events are part of ongoing efforts to prepare students for careers and provide real-world learning experiences.
