A sizable donation is allowing the YMCA of Vincennes to partner with a local health provider to expand programming at the Y.
The YMCA has received $50,000 in grant funding from the CenterPoint Energy Foundation. The funds are being used to support a new partnership with the Family Health Center of Vincennes to offer prevention-focused programs.
The initiative will take place in the YMCA’s newly renovated space, which includes a Family Education Kitchen and meeting area. One of the key programs, called Strengthening Families, brings families together for shared meals and relationship-building activities that promote both mental and physical wellness.
The upgraded facility will also function as a multi-sport wellness center open to YMCA members and the wider community.
