Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a drowning at West Boggs Lake.

Just before 7 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a man who had gone under the water and didn’t resurface.

Dive teams later recovered the body of 33-year-old Mitchell L. Worland of Washington around 9:25 p.m.

Several agencies assisted in the search, including the Cannelburg and Montgomery Fire Departments, Cannelburg EMS, and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.

Conservation officers are reminding everyone to wear a life jacket whenever on or near the water, especially during summer recreation.
