Vincennes Township Fire Chief Tim Smith has been honored with the Fire Chief of the Year Award by the Great Lakes Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
The association is a non-profit professional organization representing over 12,000 fire chiefs and emergency service leaders from more than 30 countries.
The Great Lakes Division includes departments from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Smith’s nomination came from fellow fire chiefs throughout Indiana.
