The Cal Ripken 10-and-under World Series wrapped up in Vincennes over the weekend after a full week of competition.

Fans packed the stands throughout the tournament, with city officials noting strong crowds downtown during opening ceremonies and steady business for local restaurants and shops.

In The championship game, the Hawaii Kai Elite defeated the Manoa All-Stars 10 to nothing, claiming the world title.

The week-long series brought youth baseball teams from across the country and around the world to Vincennes, capping off an event city leaders say showcased the community and boosted the local economy.
