An arrest has been made following the armed robbery at a Marathon Gas Station in Washington.
Police say the incident happened early Monday morning on West National Highway when two men stole items from the store, and one displayed a handgun before fleeing on foot.
On Tuesday afternoon, officers arrested 18-year-old Issac Hardcastle outside a home on McCormick Avenue without incident. He is facing charges of robbery while armed with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, and theft of a firearm. Detectives say a handgun was also seized during the arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Washington Police are being assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department as well as other law enforcement agencies, the public and the Knox County High Tech Crime Unit.
