Indiana State Police are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday.

Anyone across Indiana can drop off expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs at any state police post between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The event provides a safe, free, and anonymous way to dispose of medications — including liquid and pill forms, as well as vaping pens without batteries and cartridges. Needles will not be accepted.

The initiative aims to reduce the risk of prescription drug abuse, theft, and accidental poisoning by keeping medications out of homes and the environment.

Again, the collection runs this Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at all Indiana State Police posts.

In our region posts are located in Evansville, Jasper, Bloomington and Putnamville.
