The Indiana State Police (ISP) has issued new patrol vehicles to the 20 members of the 87th Recruit Academy, marking both the start of their service and the debut of ISP’s redesigned Dodge Durangos.

Governor Mike Braun said the new vehicles honor tradition while preparing for the future. “As these new Troopers begin their service, they carry forward a proud tradition of protecting Hoosiers with integrity and courage. The new patrol vehicles are a fitting way to mark this next chapter—honoring our history while equipping the Indiana State Police for the future.”

Superintendent Anthony Scott added that the new design connects the agency’s legacy with its next generation. “While the color scheme is a salute to our past, it is also a bridge to the future of the Indiana State Police, a future that each of these young Troopers will help forge.”

Ryan Austin of Stellantis, which manufactures the Durango, said the partnership with ISP spans more than 70 years and focuses on safety, durability, and performance to help troopers protect Hoosiers.
