
State Road 61 through Winslow, Indiana is closed today until further notice.
A building located at Main (SR 61) and Center Streets in Winslow caved in Wednesday on the Center Street side.
According to social media reports, the building dates back to the 1800s.
Those reports also state that the building was home to several businesses over the past 50 years, including a grocery store, a dentist’s office, an ice cream parlor, and a clothing retail business.
Winslow town officials say the Town Hall, located across from the collapse, is closed today. They advise people to stay away from the building.
In addition, businesses that had been operating on the Main Street side of the structure say they will be closed until further notice.
There were no injuries.
The official detour to get around Winslow is S.R. 64 to S.R. 257 to S.R. 56 to S.R. 61.
