  • All Family Health Center

    • All Family Health Center offices will be closed Monday, January 26th due to inclement weather, and all appointments with FHC providers are cancelled.

    • FHC offices include:

      • Bayou Family Health Center

      • Wabash Valley Friendship Clubhouse

      • Washington Avenue Family Health Center

      • Willows Family Health Center in Vincennes

Knox County Travel Advisory

  • Knox County Travel Status has been updated to Orange – Watch.

  • Conditions are threatening to public safety.

  • During a “Watch,” only essential travel is recommended, including travel to and from work or for emergency situations.

  • Businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations should implement emergency action plans.

Indiana Department of Homeland Security

  • The Indiana Department of Homeland Security activated the State Emergency Operations Center at noon Saturday, January 24, to coordinate the statewide response to the incoming winter storm.

  • The activation brings additional experts from other state agencies and external partners together to support a coordinated response to storm impacts.

  • Governor Mike Braun has also activated highway assistance teams from the Indiana National Guard to assist in areas expected to see dangerous road conditions.

  • IDHS encourages residents to prepare now and review winter storm travel and safety tips at GetPrepared.in.gov.

  • City of Vincennes Winter Weather Announcement

    • With at least 12” of now predicted for our area in the next few days, the City of Vincennes wants to ensure residents have as much information as possible due to the upcoming weather forecast.

    • We are reminding all residents to NOT park on designated snow routes (listed below) this Saturday and Sunday.

    • Anyone parked on a snow route will be towed at their own expense.

  • Snow Removal Operations

    • During a snow event the Vincennes Street Department will first concentrate on the designated snow routes.

    • Hills, overpasses and bridges are also considered a first priority.

    • After snow routes are cleared and passable for traffic, the street department will clear secondary roads.

    • It is imperative that everyone limit their travel in order to allow time for our crews to plow streets in a timely manner.

  • Recycling Services

    • Recycling Pick Up will be canceled for Monday, 1/26/26

  • Coordination and Emergency Management

    • Mayor Yochum will be working closely all weekend with Knox County Emergency Management Agency Director John Streeter as well as all city departments to help minimize the inconvenience this weather event may cause.

  • Knox County Government Update

    • County officials say the Knox County Courthouse will not be open to the public on Monday, January 26, 2026, as winter weather moves into the area.

    • Public access to other county offices considered non-essential will also be suspended for the day.

    • Court operations will continue in a limited format, with some Superior Court 1 cases moving online and others being reset for a later date.

    • All Circuit Court hearings scheduled for that day are expected to be conducted remotely.

    • Individuals who have court business scheduled are advised to check with their attorney for the latest instructions.



  • Thursday Church Mobile Food Pantry

    • Thursday Church Mobile Food Pantry for Monday is rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 2nd at 2:45 p.m.


  • Good Samaritan Health Services

    • Due to incoming winter weather, all GSPN physician clinics, the Convenient Care Clinic and Good Samaritan outpatient services plan to delay appointments to begin at 10 a.m. on Monday to allow for safer travel in daylight hours.

    • This is our current plan and may change depending on weather and road conditions Monday morning.

    • Patients scheduled before 10 a.m. have been or will be contacted by their office to reschedule for a later time that day or for an alternate date.
