A Pike County man remains jailed in Jasper on multiple charges following a disturbance and vehicle pursuit reported Friday.
Jasper police say officers were dispatched around 8:46 a.m. to the area of Second Avenue and Meridian Road after a caller reported a disturbance involving an ex-boyfriend. Police identified the man as Ryan Lashbrook, 51, of Petersburg.
According to police, Lashbrook failed to comply with officers and fled the scene in a 2007 Ford F-250. Officers reported he pulled onto Second Avenue and nearly caused a crash with another vehicle, then continued driving recklessly during the pursuit.
Police said Lashbrook nearly struck two Dubois County Sheriff’s deputies before the chase ended at Dubois County Community Corrections. Officers reported Lashbrook exited the vehicle, pulled his pants down, and initially did not comply with commands before being taken into custody without incident.
Investigators reported Lashbrook was impaired and transported for a blood draw. After medical clearance, he was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
Jail records show Lashbrook is charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, aggressive driving, reckless driving, three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated — including one count with endangerment and one involving a controlled substance — and public nudity with a prior offense.
