Toyota is expanding production capacity at its Gibson County facility with a new investment.

The company announced a $200 million investment at its Princeton plant. The funding will support increased production of the Grand Highlander SUV. The model is built alongside the Sienna minivan at the east plant. The west plant continues production of the Lexus TX.

The announcement comes as Toyota marks 30 years since breaking ground on the Gibson County site. The facility covers more than 4.5 million square feet on a 1,160-acre campus and includes stamping, welding, paint, and assembly operations.

Toyota Indiana employs more than 7,300 workers and has invested over $8 billion in the plant. In 2025, the facility produced more than 427,000 vehicles.

The investment is part of a broader plan announced in November 2025 to spend up to $10 billion across U.S. operations over five years.

Toyota also announced an $800 million investment at its Georgetown, Kentucky plant. That funding will prepare the site for an additional battery electric vehicle and expand production capacity for the Camry and RAV4.

Several Toyota facilities are marking milestone anniversaries this year, including Toyota Missouri at 35 years, Toyota Indiana and Toyota West Virginia at 30 years, and Toyota Alabama at 25 years.
